The Young Entrepreneur Leaders Initiative provides a focused introduction to the business world, combining a dynamic, proven curriculum with the experiences of local leaders of industry, community members, educators and entrepreneurs. The goal of our classes is for each student to successfully launch their own business. The program works in concert with business and educational partners who provide the educational content and speakers for the program in their respective categories in partnership with the high school and middle schools. The focus is on minority and underserved communities to help them achieve success through entrepreneurship.
The Young Entrepreneur Leaders Initiative is a unique and exciting program aimed at fostering our future generation of entrepreneurs. Our program focuses on teaching entrepreneurship to middle and high school students and helping them to discover the rewards and challenges of becoming an entrepreneur. Participants in the program learn the different aspects of creating a business, operations and management of the business, creative and online marketing tools and resources, identifying their target markets and buyer personas, and how to effectively launch their companies.
The Young Entrepreneur Leaders Initiative empowers students to take charge of their futures in a profound way. It is a groundbreaking and exciting year long class that transforms middle and high school students into real, confident entrepreneurs. Throughout the class, students develop business ideas, write business plans, conduct market research, pitch their plans to a panel of investors, and actually launch and run their own real, legal, fully formed companies and social movements. Complete with dynamic guest speakers from the local business community and exciting behind-the-scenes trips to local companies, the fun, projects-based.
The Young Entrepreneur Leaders Initiative develops and delivers experience-based entrepreneurship programs to young people to:
Enable them to transition successfully to adulthood;
Help them to pursue their dreams by harnessing their creativity and energy;
Help them transform their ideas into tangible enterprises that create economic and social value for a better world;
Develop the character of tomorrow’s leaders based on personal principles and values;
Enable educational institutions and businesses to provide successful and effective entrepreneurship programs for middle and high school students;
Create a culture of innovation in schools and communities across the nation; and
Foster the entrepreneurial mindset in young people, educators, and community members.
Our mission is to be a leader in establishing innovative, experiential entrepreneurship programs for middle and high school students, delivering these programs through colleges and universities, and in high schools and middle schools throughout the country, in close cooperation with local community and business leaders and their organizations. We partner with like minded organizations to effectively deliver entrepreneurship education to young people across our nation.
